It has been awhile

Many of you know that Dale has been home for the last 2 weeks, but he'll be back in California tomorrow, and I've been promising a post since shortly after he left. The problem is I don't think I've moved the car except to go to work and of course to the beach. Rincon is south on the freeway for a bit - we've walked before, but there's a mildly steep rocky hill to climb down and quite a few rocks to climb over when walking to the best part of the shoreline. We find a lot of sea glass along this bit of the coast and also some interesting characters. This beach is popular with the surfers and part of it used to be a nude beach. Now the signs say no nudity so people try to take it as close to nude as possible - seems to be mostly middle aged overweight men. Brings several things to mind - #1 What were you thinking and #2 Just because it comes in your size doesn't mean you should wear it!!! (Like a pink thong!) I've seen women in things they should not wear also, but this beach seems to attract the men. The surfers haven't changed - its a necessity to cover up when surfing in 50 something degree water - or be very young and hearty. Moving on...we are attracted to the beach - it seems so peaceful, especially at sunset. Even if you've had a busy day and don't feel like leaving the apt one more time the beach is usually worth the effort. I really don't know why it feels so peaceful, the ocean is always moving and always different and at times down right violent. But the water always has a calming effect on us - either in awe of the power or just an ahhh for the day. And if you see a dolphin or 2 it's even better. Tonight there were several - all heading quickly in the same direction, maybe they were late for curfview. I am going try to add a video - its taken with our little camera, so the quality may not be the best, but it shows another part of the beach I love, besides Dale, I like the sound the rocks make when tossed about by the ocean.
Well i tried twice and did not get the video to work, sorry. If I take the time to figure it out later will try again.
